Advertising in make it happen's music video(The face Thailand)

Today's post is another interesting topic!! I can guarantee to you guys:) In this few years we cannot deny that reality show is very popular among Thai people and surely company owner gain many profit from their program's show. Personally, talking about reality show one of the top show that come up in my head is "The Face Thailand". Do you guys think same as me:)) This reality gain more reputation every single year since the year that have been broadcasting. Recently, it is coming to Season 3. Let's me talk about first and second season first. For my observation, season one and two is more focus on campaign that competitors were assigned. It can be said that there is a few advertisements during the show. On the contrary, in my opinion The face Thailand season three is much more focus on advertising than it used to be. Consequently, in today's post I am going to talk about the type of advertising consisting of 1) hard sell 2) soft sell. Also, all of these will be related to the face Thailand season three:)) 

Additionally, several campaigns in the face Thailand season three is related to cosmetic's brand named Maybelline. One of the campaigns is that all mentors have to select their staffs depend on each character in order for filming the Maybelline advertising's campaign . So, the instruction is all members have to say the catchy phrase which is "make in hot", " make it posh" and  finally "make it happen". According to this many more Thai people try to do these phrases with friends and act like they are one of the contestants in The Face Thailand season three. Moreover, there is a big surprised for The Face Thailand's fan which a full song of make it happen was released hahaha:)) The majority of people is looking forward to seeing this music video. Anyway,I will also analyse the advertising type that appear in this make in happen's music video as well.

I will introduce you guys to get to know more about the face Thailand!!!
The face Thailand is a reality show that looking for only one girl who can be a model, acting and many more ability. Several people pass through the final round and there are three mentors who are going to choose their team workers. And then in every single week, there will be a master class and campaign that every contestant need to try their best to complete it since if they are loser. The rule is the mentors of losing team have to choose one of their members in to elimination room!!!! Anyway, every reality show need to have a sponsor right??? So, The face Thailand also has advertising too. Producers set remained contestants to have an action with the product in every episode. Personally, I consider this as a "HARD SELL". It means a method of selling that in which the person selling try very very hard to persuade customers or obvious sell the product.


Moving to the famous music video named MAKE IT HAPPEN!!
the theme of this music video is using one of Maybelline's presenters to play this MV by combine the lyrics with the catchy slogan of Maybellibe which is make it happen, make it happen!!! To be honest with you guys I always sing sing this song when I take a shower hahaha. I know you guys did too hahaha:DDD  As I mentioned above that this music video is a cooperation between singer and Maybelline company. And also the lyrics contain a company's slogan. Personally, I consider this music video is a hard sell one, but it a good advertising strategy. This is mostly because when people watch and listen this song, they are automatically forced to watch and listen Maybelline's slogan which is Make it happen, make it happennnnnnn!!!!!



Additionally, the main product that this music video try to portray to audience is Maybelline new york clear smooth all in one SPF 32 pa+++. As you can tell Yaya who is the representative of Maybelline dance like she is using this product while she was dancing. In my opinion, the lyrics and dance choreograph of this music video is mainly focus on "Maybelline New York clear smooth all in one" . For example, the lyrics say love is not a secret, if you have love, why do not you have to keep it. Just show it!!! Consequently, this is one of the marketing strategy that try to linked the lyrics with the product in order for attracting audience's attention which help to increase the selling product. This is probably because Maybelline company may think that combine song with the product is an interesting thing since very few companies will come up with this idea. In my opinion Maybelline is doing a great job since this song is very catchy and very creative. Also, I consider that make it happen's music video has the combination between hard sell and soft sell. This is because audience can obviously see that this music video was produced in order to promote Maybelline product which related to hard sell. But, the lyrics does not sell product directly. Audience have to interpret the lyrics first!! So, these are some of my viewpoints about this music video which can related to advertising strategy which is hard sell and soft sell.
